Kei is an easily excitable girl who enjoys a good laugh and having a good time. She thinks things out creatively and thoroughly, but somehow seems to forget the simple answer to things. She gets overwhelmed by things she's not used to, but can somehow manage homework and sports easily. She is fun to be around and is a competitive sort. She tries to find a challenge in everything, which her friends find to be appealing. However, she's easily flustered and hates making a mistake. If she is the cause of a loss or problem she will grow negative and push herself to work harder. She may be friendly around everyone, but if she has a crush on you get ready for awkward pauses and uncalled for punches.
Bio:
Born in Tokyo, Kei adapted the city's buzzing nature of productivity and overwhelmed her family. Being the only child, she didn't have to compete with other siblings for her parents' love. No, her rival was their jobs. The long hours alone in solitude did not fit her description of a good time. She found things to do on her own, sure, but it wasn't the same.
When she started her first year of Elementary, she was quick to discover that she enjoyed school. It required her full attention, but she proved to be an excellent student. Not the best, but a girl the teachers enjoyed. Friends were plenty for her, and she enjoyed new things with them. She didn't know when or how, but one day she noticed a couple classmates playing with a bat and swinging at a ball thrown at them. It seemed... fun! So she joined in and found out quickly that she loved the game. As soon as her parents got home Kei told them all about it, and they agreed to register her in baseball.
Kei was quite good at baseball, training whenever she could outside of practice and school, with her teammates. The ball would crack against her bat and soar through the air with speed, dust following afterwards. She was quick to throw, chase, run, and she was favorable in her team's eyes. Her one downfall was pitching. She couldn't throw a straight enough ball when she was on the pitcher's mount.
Her flaw was what made her team lose the championship. When she was 12, in the final inning, she was pitcher and had to throw three perfect strikes. The very first ball, and the batter hit it out of the park, scoring a homerun and winning the game by three points. She disappointed her team. Failure was something Kei wasn't used to, especially when it came to baseball, so when she lost she grew furious. A rage burned in her and she was constantly trying to prove to her parents, her friends, anyone that she was not a failure. This caused her to isolate herself from them.
By the time she graduated Junior High, she was accepted into Todokawa High by her record of good grades, behavior, and sports history. She would move into the dorms and dedicate herself fully to school, and move past that failure, never knowing she had left her parents and friends alone.
